Panasonic VIERA TC-P50GT25 50-inch1080p 3D Plasma HDTV Review
I have been looking attvs for more than ayear. going back andforth between lcd andplasma. So happy Iwent with this tv.don’t be fooled whengoing to stores as theydon’t put the pictureon the right settings or even bother to set itup. when i first wentto the stores theplasma looked dim and not to strong. but i read theprofessional reviews and I knew it couldnt be setupright. i took a chance and so glad i did. i have a jvcLCOS 61 in my basement nice tv in it own right but thecolors and clarity of this tv are outstanding. my kidslove it and my daughter got to see her first 3d movie

and i never saw her sit so still. Amazon had a great dealwith free shipping and no tax. If you buy this you willnot be disappointed. My first thought in writing this review - buy this TVwhile the promotions from Panasonic are still available!Do not hesitate if you are in the market for a 50-inchTV - this is one of the very best TV's available at thebest possible price from the best retailer in the market.Second thought - this is my third attempt to find theright TV with Amazon in the past two months, and I amvery grateful for Amazon's 'Gold Glove' level of customer service. I first purchased a SamsungPN50C550 plasma - great image quality, but theSamsung had significant image retention issues and ahorizontal image banding effect that they would notwarranty after two service visits. Returned this TV for the Toshiba 55 LED 240hz 3D. One word -flashlighting. Significant bright spots on the screen inany moderately dark picture. Also, after becomingaccustomed to plasma, the LED was a huge step down

in picture quality in every way describable - I won'teven try to elaborate. Never realized the importance of off angle viewing that you get with a plasma!! Amazonpicked both TV's up, re-packaged and carted them awaywithout any trouble. Now about the Panasonic GT25 - picture quality issimply amazing. Rich, accurate colors. Incredibleclarity. Black levels and contrast are everything thatPanasonic claims. Minimal issues with image retention- virtually none, and this was an issue with the Samsungfrom day one. 3D is great - picture is clear and theimages pop off of the screen. I find that the 3D workswell even at greater distances and angles than areconsidered optimal. Will 3D improve over time? Of course, but the GT25's 3D viewing is a great featurethat the whole family really enjoys now (at only $120more than the G25).One more thought about this whole TV buyingescapade - I spent plenty of time in retail storesassessing picture quality between brands. This is not agood assessment of picture quality!!! Realized thatdifferent retail chains must be enticed to promotedifferent brands/TV's, as I found that they run the
