Samsung UN55C8000 55-Inch 1080p 240 Hz 3DLED HDTV Review
I bought this to replace my60" Sony A2000, which hadsuffered an optical block failure. Although I thoughtthe A2000 was great (beforeit died), the Samsung C8000beats it in every wayimaginable. Most impressiveis the black level--once you dial in good settings, blacksare *black*, while contrast and picture detail areretained. (Even out of the box, the picture quality isgreat, but once a few key adjustments are made, it'ssimply stunning.)Another nice touch is the 240Hz "custom" option, which allows you to separate motion blur reductionfrom dejudder. By cranking up motion blur reduction to9 or 10, and by leaving dejudder at 0 or 1, the C8000will produce very smooth, plasma-like motion, while

avoiding the "soap-opera" effect that many LCD TVs'120Hz/240Hz solutions produce. Finally, a word about Amazon customer service. Asmuch as I loved my TV, when I removed the protectivefilm, I found an unsightly dent in the bezel. I contactedAmazon, and they immediately offered to send a newone and pickup the old one, with no return shippingcharge to me. It's great to see when a retailer matches ahigh-quality product with high-quality customer service. My wife and I spent a lot of time looking at various BigScreens for the past year or so and we always ended upin front of the Samsungs. The picture quality wasstunning, the price was competitive and design is clean.I have no regrets purchasing this TV, it is everything Iwanted. The 3D was something I was not sure of, but Ihave found that the picture is as good, (If not better),

than current Theater 3D and 2D is crisp, bright andCLEAN! Our favorite pastime is watching the NBAand NFL. This TV is so good we find it very hard tojustify spending money for tickets to a Lakers game atStaples, even the best seats there are not as good aswhat this TV provides, Excellent!I could go on and on about the high quality of theHDTV, but I would run out of room to type! This is a great buy, just do it!
