DepEd ADVISORY No. 399, s. 2010 In compliance with DepED Order No. 39, s. 2009 this advisory is issued for the information of DepEd officials and personnel (visit DepEd website at www.deped.gov.ph) November 30, 2010 EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION ‘The School of Education and Human Development of the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) is now accepting applications to its two-year program leading to the degree of Master of Arts (MA) in Education (for the thesis track) and Master in Education (ME) (for the non-thesis track). The program offers two (2) majors (for both tracks): Educational Leadership and Child Development and Education. The Educational Leadership aims to develop principal-leaders and teacher-leaders while the Child Development and Education aims to develop early childhood educators and specialists (preschool and primary school teachers and administrators, child development consultants, and researchers) who can effectively blend theory and practice in creating positive learning opportunities and experiences for young children to promote their total development. ‘The applicants to these programs are teachers in preschools, elementary and secondary public schools in the National Capital Region (NCR) for school year 2011-2012. To qualify for the program, candidates should meet these requirements: (a) competence in the education profession; (b) good moral standing in the community; (c) demonstrable multiplier effect or potential; (d) good command of oral and written English; and (e) submission of all required documents. School divisions in NCR and Regions I, Ill and IV are encouraged to send their candidates (principals, assistant principals, department heads, master teachers, and high school, primary grade, and preschool teachers) to the admission examinations to be conducted by the Center for Educational Measurement (CEM) in UA&P. Applicants should coordinate with the University with regard to other admission requirements. The application fee of Five Hundred Pesos (PhpS00.00) will be charged to cach participant to cover testing fee and incidental expenses.
