COMPOSITE HYBRID InTERCHAngEABLE ERgOnOMIC FRAMESHEET
Natick’s requirements for the SOF Patrol pack was to be able to carry 100pounds comfortably, survive a 40 foot drop fully loaded, and weigh 7lbs or less. The CHIEF frame is the key to meeting those requirements. The CHIEF Systemis engineered from a proprietary, continuously reinforced thermoplastic withdistinct zones of flexibility, matching and supporting the soldiers natural spinalcontours. The CHIEF frame can flex, but always returns to it’s original shape, never deforming like aluminum stays frequently do.
PIVOT-POINTHARDWARE

The CHIEF framesheet is connected tothe belt and shoulder straps via PivotPoint hardware that allows for maximumflexibility of the shoulders and hips formissions requiring agility and endurance. The Chief Frame is drilled to allow torsolength adjustment from 16" to 22" aswell as regular and wide attachmentpoints for a custom fit.

BODY ARMOR COMPATIBLE HARnESS
The BACH system compensates for thechange in fit when the pack is used witha body armor vest. Extra shoulder strappadding can be removed for increasedflexibility, An additional pad is attached inthe lumbar zone to fill the gap below thebody armor. This brings the lumbar area ofthe pack frame into contact with your back to allow for effective weight transfer.

B-TOgS STRAP WRAP
B-TOGS Strap Wraps are a convenient way toadjust and fix the extra length of webbing on apack’s adjustable straps. B-TOGS are silent and donot stick to clothing like Velcro strap wraps. Theyare removable and field replaceable. The bungeeallows you to make length adjustments withoutundoing the tog.
HIgH OUTPUT HYDRATIOn
A unique system of Hydration tube routing that weincorporate into all of our packs. The advantagesover the traditional over-the-shoulder tube routingare many.First, the bite valve is ready to sip, without movingyour hands from mission critical tasks. Second, gravity feed is maximized, for a better flowrate. And finally, by avoiding the top of the pack, communications system wiring and antenna routingare cleaner.
DUAL 100Oz SIDE HYDRATIOn POCKETS
Our Chief packs come standard with dual (right andleft) hydration side pockets each capable of holdinga 100 oz. bladder. These convenient pockets allowyou to fill your water without removing them fromyour pack. High output ports are included.
CRISSCROSS STRAP CLOSURE
Under the lid, but on top of the spindrift collar, straps cross from front to back, and from sideto side, securing the load, and providing for extralashing options. The side to side strap can neatlysecure the side lift handles under the lid for extrasnag-proof security. The side to side strap alsosupports the load of the 100oz. bladder.
ACCESS PAnEL
Two vertical zippers open the front of the pack, allowing you to rapidly load and unload the contentsof your pack. Internal compression straps keepstress off the zippers and secure your load. Pack can also be loaded from the top.
SnAPDRAgOn BREAK-AWAYADJUSTABLE STERnUM STRAP
The Sternum Strap is essential for keepingshoulder straps in the proper position. Oursis removable and the position on the strap isadjustable . An elastic section allows for chestexpansion during heavy exertion. The ITWSnapdragon buckle is instantly released with a snapof the attached quick-release tab. If the buckleis accidentally not released in the heat of battle,it is designed to break-away, before breaking thetrachea (do not try this at home!).
RADIO POCKET
Radio Pockets are positioned against the pack’sframe for safety and stability. Radio Pockets arecapable of carrying a Model 117 Radio, and portsare provided for antenna and communication wiring.
