We have made it appropriate for the gangster genre by challenging the conventions but also using the main conventions toour advantage.
Which conventions of the genre do you think you have applied effectively, why? We have used the convention of sound effectively as the typical stereotype of a gangster is either Italian, Italian American. We have chose to play with the effects of the typicalmusic used in an Italian gangster mob film by making the film in England about Englishgangsters but still we used the gothic choir music that is often heard throughout gangster films.
Which conventions have you challenged? How have you done this?We challenged the main convention of a typical gangster film though as we made the dona woman instead of a man. Explain your reasoning. We need to improve the professionalism of it, we need to include the productioncompany’s name, the timing needs to be cut down and the length of the music clips wehave used need to be cut so that the fades are at the same time. This is mainly due to thepiece looking unprofessional because of these factors.
