THE FN HERITAGE
For more than 100 years Fabrique Nationale (FN) has equipped America’s law enforcement officers, as well as the soldiers, sailors, airmen and
Marines of her military forces and her allies. From legacy systems like the BAR, M2 and Hi Power pistol that were designed by John M. Browning,
to today’s M240, M249, M2HB QCB, LRWS, GAU-21 and the USSOCOM SCAR, FN stands at the cutting-edge of both law enforcement and military
weapons. That’s why a majority of the small arms used by the U.S. Military today proudly bear the FN mark of quality.

MACHINE GUNS.
M249 SAW / M249 PARA The M249 has been a mainstay throughout the U.S. Military since 1986 and is currently
in service in over 30 countries. The M249 SAW is designed to be used on the front lines
where it really matters, providing crucial fire support at the infantry squad/fire team level
by providing highly accurate fire during fire and maneuver to take the objective. The
ergonomically-shaped polymer buttstock contains a hydraulic buffer that allows SAW
gunners to maintain a high rate of fire with accuracy and effect.
The M249 PARA is optimized for airborne, armored infantry and close quarters combat
(CQC) operations with a shorter barrel and collapsible buttstock. It retains all of the
features of the M249 SAW and can be field-converted back to the standard model
configuration in just 30 seconds. Each M249 model includes one spare barrel.

MK 48 MOD 1 The 5.56x45mm MK 46 MOD 1 is the lightweight U.S. Special Operations Command
(USSOCOM) variant of the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW). The 7.62x51mm

MK 46 MOD 1 MK 48 MOD 1, in use by USSOCOM, was designed to be light and compact enough to
keep up with fast moving troops as they maneuver on and close with the enemy. The
MK 48 MOD 1 can additionally augment conventional ground forces as well as when a
maneuverable, lightweight, larger caliber machine gun is needed.
Both variants offer improved receiver pins, a feed tray with retention pawls and a vented
handguard with MIL-STD 1913 rails at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. Enhanced heat
shields and carry sling attachments help the operator to carry and employ the weapons
in combat assault missions. One spare barrel is included.

FN FAMILY OF MEDIUM MACHINE GUNS THE DEPENDABLE WORKHORSE
OF MEDIUM MACHINE GUNS.
M240 B / M240 L The M240 was adopted by the U.S. Military following a worldwide competition in search
of a reliable 7.62x51mm NATO machine gun. With pistol grip, carry handle and fixed
buttstock, the M240 B is today’s "go-to" medium machine gun for all branches of the
U.S. Armed Services.
The FN M240 L is a product of a U.S. Army program to reduce the weight of the M240.
The FN M240 L sheds approximately five pounds compared to a similar M240 B via the
extensive use of titanium alloy in the receiver while maintaining the durability and
absolute reliability M240 B operators have come to expect. This critical weight savings
translates into far greater mobility with less fatigue for the operator. All M240s include
one spare barrel.

TO MEET ANY MISSION.
M240 C / M240 D Based on the original FN MAG-58 design, the M240 made its U.S. debut as the M240 C in 1977
as a coaxial design for use on main battle tanks and armored fighting vehicles. With

M240 H demonstrated reliability far exceeding other mid-caliber designs then in service, members of the
M240 family quickly became the primary medium machine gun throughout the U.S. Military.
The spade-grip, pintle-mounted M240 D is designed for use on armored vehicles,
helicopters and naval craft. The M240 H is a U.S. Army variant further optimized for
combat helicopter deployment. For the M240 H and M240 D, optional egress kits
consisting of the buttstock, trigger mechanism and bipod enable the use of a pintle-
mounted M240 as a ground role machine gun for self-defense by dismounted vehicle
crew members. All M240s include one spare barrel.

BATTLEFIELD ADVANTAGE.
M2HB QCB Descending from the legendary Browning .50 caliber that's renowned by generations of
warriors for reliability, range, accuracy and hard-hitting downrange performance, the
M2HB (Heavy Barrel) is one of the most effective suppressive fire weapons available for
use against soft skinned and lightly armored vehicles, bunkers and buildings.
Now the FN M2HB QCB delivers greater versatility and expanded field capabilities with
the innovative Quick Change Barrel (QCB) system that allows the barrel to be changed by
one operator in seconds and eliminates the need to check and adjust headspace and
timing at the user level, speeding set-up and improving sustained fire support in battle.
The M2HB QCB modification has been in service worldwide for more than a quarter
century and allows any QCB barrel to be mounted on any QCB-modified weapon.
