PREFACE
If you want to improve your blog but have been putting it in the ‘one day’basket or just don’t know how to do it - you’re not alone. You're also in the right place.Recently when I asked on Twitter whether there were any bloggers interestedin a month of concentrated teaching and practical exercises on improvingblogs I was inundated with expressions of interest.Over 13,000 bloggers signed up - the 31 Days to Build a Better BlogChallenge was born. The reality is that all bloggers want to improve their blogs - but many neverquite get around to it.I went through this in the early days of my own blogging and came to therealization that there came a point where I just had to get serious and put timeaside to work on my blog. That's what this challenge is about. The idea is simple. By the end of this challenge you’ll have learned 31aspects of blogging and put them into practice. It is designed not only to fillyour head with knowledge ABOUT blogging but also give you some concretethings to do to actually DO something with the knowledge.

To help us with a couple of the tasks in the challenge and to help you track the success of your blog please make sure you have some kind of statistics/metrics package installed on your blog.I use and recommend Google Analytics (it's free and comprehensive) but there are plenty of others on the market. Please note: if you use WordPress.com or some other hosted blog platformsyou won't be able to install one.
