THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
Petroleum: It’s a naturally occuring and flamable
liquid consisting of a complex mixture of
hydrocarbons of various molecular weights and
other liquid organics compounds.
Engineering: Discipline, art or profession of
acquiring and applying knowledges to design and
build things to realize solutions to the needs of society.
CONCEPT
It’s an engineering discipline concerned with the
activities related to the production of hydrocarbons,
which can be either crude or natural gas.
