Arkley was born and raised inArcata. He founded SecurityNational (now named SNServicing Coproration) inAnchorage, Alaska in 1981.In 1983 he established theEureka law firm of Dun andArkley which specialized intaxation and general law.Two years later he opened aSecurity National Office inBaton Rouge, Louisiana andin 1997 the Arkley familymoved to Eureka to openanother branch office. Sincethat time Eureka has beenhome for the Arkleys and forthe corporate offices of SNServicing Corporation.Other offices are located inSacramento California;Omaha, Nebraska; Hollis,New Hampshire; Anchorage,Alaska; Baton Rouge, Louisi-ana and a new office soon inNew York City. SN also hasan office in Lisbon, Portugal.Locally, Arkley founded
TheEureka Reporter 
and also sits onthe boards of the HumboldtAccess Television and thePacific Legal Foundation. Hehas worked to beautifyEureka. Among these pro- jects are the Vance Hotel,Fifth Street Plaza, the EurekaCo-op and the old Wool-worth Building. The Arkleyscontributed two million dol-lars to the City of Eureka tocomplete the waterfront boardwalk and is currentlyworking to develop the Bal-loon Track into the MarinaCenter.
