Weather By The Moon
Free pdf
This book was first printed in 1999, a result of aboutthree years’ work, the culmination of 20 years of observ-ing moon cycles and research. At first self-published,after two years the rights were purchased by HazardPress (Christchurch, NZ), one of a number of independ-ent NZ book publishers that support and bring unusualNZ works to a wider audience.Hazard Press in turn temporarilyleased the contract for UK cov-erage to Gothic Image Publica-tions, a New Age publisher basedin Glastonbury. In 2003, HazardPress ceased publishing thisbook and on request returned allrights to the author. In the UK,although not contractually ena-bled to do so, Gothic Imagechose to continue publishingusing the cover at bottom right.
Still currently unauthorised
, thebook is continuously publishedby Gothic Image in the USA andsold on the world’s stage throughthe auspices of Amazon, Barnesand Noble and other retail out-lets, without any royaltyrenumeration to the author, sotechnically pirating the work.
Despite requests to desist, this process has continued unabated. As no small claims international books tribunal exists thereseems little that can be done to stop what has been intellectualtheft for 7 years, other than making it available
free online
. Itmay make no difference, but if every similarly treated author didthe same it might go some way toward deterring pirating byunauthorised publishers. One advantage of offering the book in this way is that wecan offer the original that suffered some editing in both printedversions for reasons of space. It also enables us to announce thebook that has been written since
Predicting Weather By The Moon.
The new work has valuable additions, updated with newtechniques including matching of past year records to currentand future years. These cover 1802 - 2012 which means fore-casting by seasons is possible to 2012 and beyond if the readermerely repeats the demonstrated pattern. In effect one can go200 years ahead. The new book is called
The Lunar Code
and isnow published by Random House (NZ) Ltd. The author recom-mends
The Lunar Code
to the longterm weather planner andserious weather buff. It is available from all NZ bookshops oronline from various sources, including www.predictweather.com.We wish readers enjoyment of this free book in their firststeps on the road of what will be an exciting and rewarding journey. Please send it to your friends!
