The ravens

Today I wanted
To continue my philanthropic rehabilitation
Of certain animals unfairly disparaged
With the raven

But I do not know what demon

Prompted me in the way of gossip
Following the famous Aesop La Fontaine Rimbaud and Poe
Which I admit is not an excuse

Therefore driven by the above-said demon

I cannot despite my willingness overwhelmed by my unwillingness
Resist adding my bit to denigration suffered by this unfortunate bird
I apologize

Raven might I add still to your bad image

Of vain and short of sight bird as you presents the illustrious Monsieur de la Fontaine
Of funeral bird as you present Rimbaud and Poe
Of informer bird as the french public rumor imposed it

Or will I dare you rehabilitate

Forgive me the temptation is too strong
My bag of gossip and wickedness overflows
I cannot about it more I must lighten it

I know that among the birds you're the one which has the bigger brain
That you are capable of insight solve problems
You are able to understand that perched on a perch from which hangs a piece of meat
Clung to a rope you need to pull to shorten it before to eat that piece of meat

I know you're a player capable of hurtling down the slopes of snow

And even a player among the most sociable birds
Since it can happen to you from playing with cats wolves dogs
That you're an air acrobat being able to launch you in dizzying loops

I know you accomplished your task of cleaning our fields our highways our landfills with care
Ridding us of all kinds of waste for example the bodies of mammals crushed by our vehicles
But hiding me behind such these illustrious names and the popular wisdom which says
That the clothes make the man and in France the monk

Your black dress and my wickedness allow me to transform you

Into intolerant Ayotallah who does not cease to croak his lugubrious
caw caw believe believe
In the desolate countrysides during our winters

To call us to submit ourselves to I do not know what allah

To get in I do not know what Valhalla
As if you did not know that we are in a country where one can still be faithless
If can not be lawless

As if you thought your caw caw fatwas

Might convert us
I know you will forgive my human wickedness
Black intelligent bird
