Genocide Denying “Lord Byron Foundation for Balkan Studies”

A Serbian propaganda machine, calling itself the so called “Lord Byron Foundation for
Balkan Studies,” is composed of radical ultra-nationalists, racists, islamophobes, and their
sympathizers.

They include disreputable figures and outspoken genocide deniers like James Bissett who
also goes by ‘James Byron Bissett’ (currently chair of “The Lord Byron Foundation for
Balkan Studies”; former Canadian Ambassador to Yugoslavia who maintained very close
personal relationship with late Serbian dictator Slobodan Milosevic), Srdja Trifkovic who also
goes by ‘Serge Trifkovic’ (author of racist islamophobic book “The Sword of the Prophet”;
former spokesperson for indicted war criminal Radovan Karadzic who is on trial for the
Bosnian Genocide; Srdja Trifkovic was present in Karadzic’s office at the time of the
Srebrenica massacre), Diana Johnstone (author of “Fool’s Crusade” and other genocide
denying propaganda on the internet), Andy Wilcoxson (outspoken apologist for Slobodan
Milosevic’s regime), Stephan Karganovic who also goes by ‘Stephen Karganovic’ (founder
of a racist genocide denial outfit, “Srebrenica Historical Project”), Edward S. Herman who
also goes by ‘Ed Herman’ (one of the worst genocide deniers so far), James George Jatras
and Stella Jatras (two racist genocide denying Islamophobes) and many other “no authority”
figures.

The ‘events’ list on their website provides insight into a world of nauseating denial of the
Bosnian Genocide. Here are some entries: “Srebrenica: Myth and Reality,” “Srebrenica
Presentations in Western Canada,” “Srebrenica: Myth, Manipulation, Reality,” etc. They also
host events praising notorious Serbian Nazi collaborator General Draza Mihailovic – “Gen.
Mihailovic: The Historical Record.” According to Yad Vashem Holocaust Martyr’s
Remembrance Authority in Jerusalem, Serbian Chetniks led by Nazi collaborating Gen. Draza
Mihailovic killed Jews during the Holocaust. Mihailovic admitted collaboration with the Nazis.

James Bissett’s critique of Dr. Josip Pecaric and the Canadian Institute for the Research of
Canada is groundless. Dr. Pecaric never denied Jasenovac – he simply challenged the
Serbian proapaganda of ’700,000′ victims there. According to the United States Holocaust
Memorial Museum in Washington:

“The most reliable figures place the number of Serbs killed by the Ustasha… 45,000 to
52,000 Serbs murdered in Jasenovac” [not 700,000]

So much about the Bosnian Genocide deniers calling themselves “The Lord Byron
Foundation for Balkan Studies.”
