This pattern is for a 12.5” unfinished block of a ring of stars using eight ninepatches of wonky stars. I am assuming that you know how to sew a wonky ninepatch block. If you do not, check out Gwen Marston’s book

Thisblock is perfect for using up scraps!Materials needed:Background Fabric – One 6.5” x 3.5” stripFour 2” x 5” stripsSix 2” x 3.5” strips64 1.5” x 1.5” squaresCenter of Stars – Eight 1.5” x 1.5” squaresStar tips – 32 scraps of fabric up to 2” squareDirections:1. Cut fabric to size. See above for dimensions and amounts.2. Sew 8 wonky nine patch blocks using 8 background 1.5” x 1.5” squares ofbackground fabric, one 1.5” x 1.5” center of star square, and 8 scraps offabric for the star tips for EACH wonky nine patch. Square each ninepatch up to 3.5” square.
