Previously On Lost:The plane crashing mid-flight in 1.2.Rousseau and Sayid finding Henry Gale's balloon with Ben in it 2.14.Miles being dragged away by the monster in 5.4.Leonard crashing on the island in 5.6.Locke and Rose finding the "Number Station" in 5.4.Leonard in the "Number Station" in 5.6.Abaddon tailing Jack and Christine in 5.5.Christine realizing her children were on 815 in 5.5.Kate having Cassidy sign the documents for Aaron in 5.5.Hurley being coaxed off the cliff by Dave in 2.18.Hurley finding the cabin in 4.1.1) --FLASH-- EXT. JUNGLE. NIGHT.
The camera is focused on Hurley who is sitting in the middle of the jungle. He hears thewhispers all around him. He looks around frantically and can't figure out where the voicesare coming from. He turns in circles looking for the voices, but no-one is there. This is thesame scene from 4.1, but obviously different.
Hurley:
Who's there? What do you want?!
Hurley turns again and he spots it, Jacob's cabin. Hurley looks behind him then back at the cabin. He closes his eyes and chants:
Hurley:
You're not there. There's nothing there. There's nothing there. This can't be real...
Hurley opens his eyes and sure enough, the cabin is still there unlike in 4.1. The door opens and the wind blows. Hurley takes a deep breath and he slowly walks towards it. Hegets to the porch and he stops before he goes in. He sees a light coming from the window.He takes a step in the cabin and looks around. The camera pans the cabin then stops on afigure. It is Christian Shephard.
Christian:
Hugo Reyes, you have been quite the problem haven't you?
Hurley:
I'm sorry?
Christian:
You weren't supposed to be on the plane, Hugo. In fact, the island has done everything itcould to get rid of you, but you are too special... your will is too strong.
Hurley:
Dude, what are you talking about? I'm not on the island anymore.
Christian:
Andwenow realizethat's the problem, Hugo. The island, as much as it didn't want youhere, needs you more than ever.
Hurley:
I'm not coming back if that's what you're talking about.
Christian:
That's where you're wrong, Hugo. The motion has already began, but they need you. Theyneed your help to get back. Without you, they will all die.
Hurley:
Who will die?! What are you talking about?!
Christian:
You are a special man, Hugo Reyes. They will be along soon, to help you out.
With that being said, Hurley gets swept out of the cabin backwards through the door and lands on his back in front of it. He looks back and the cabin is gone. Then he hears it, thechains and the howling of the monster. Hurley turns around and the smoke monster isdirectly behind him! It swoops towards him and:
2) --END OF FLASH-- INT. SANTA ROSA MENTAL HEALTH INSTITUTE. HURLEY'S ROOM.NIGHT.
Hurley sits up in his bed. There is sweat beads all over his face and forehead.
Hurley:
It was just a dream... it was just a dream....
Hurley gets out of his bed and walks over to the mirror. He looks in the mirror and hebegins to calm down. Hurley looks back up into the mirror and he sees a man sitting there. African-American mid-40's shaved head with a moustache. The manis standing in thebackground behind him. He turns and he looks at him with surprise.
Hurley:
Hey! What are you doing in here?!
The Man:
Hello Hurley.
Hurley:
Who are you? How didyou get in here?
The Man:
I'm here to show you something Hurley. I need you to come with me.
Hurley:
I'm not goin' anywhere with you.
Hurley runs to the door and begins to pound on it. He begins to scream. The flash sound begins...
Hurley:
Help! Help!
Hurley continues to pound on the door, but eventually he stops... he realizes that he isnow pounding on a tree. He hears the whispers again and turns around. No-one is there.
3) --FLASH-- EXT.JUNGLE. DAY.
Hurley looks around, then he looks up. He sees Henry Gale's balloon stuck in the tree. Hegets a really confused look on his face then he turns to his right and sees the man who wasin his room sitting on a log writing something on a 20 dollar bill.
Hurley:
Hey! Hey! What is this? What's going on?
There is no response. Hurley walks over to him closer.
Hurley:
Dude! What the hell is this? Where did you take me?!
The mandoesn't react. He takes out a satellite phone and dials. There is just static,buthe decides to talk into it anyway.
Man:
Hello?! I don't know if anyone out there is getting this, but my name is Henry Gale and I amstuck on an island. The battery on the phone is getting low, but I am trying to contactCharles Widmore. I hit a storm and turnednorth towards this island. Please, send help! Thistransmission is being broadcast on 12/15/2003....
