Cactus Finch –

Large ground-finch –

Woodpecker finch –
- Genus : Camarhynchus
- Shape: It’s beak is a probing beak. I.e. it is very long and pointed.
- Size : It’s a bit smaller than the Large ground finch, the average
weight is 20 grams.
- The woodpecker finch is able to use tools such as twigs and cactus
spines to reach otherwise unaccessible food sources such as Spider
egg sacs. It feeds on insects mainly.
