Full Official Rules

1.
CONTEST DESCRIPTION:
McDonald’s® Show Me Your Mittens Contest (the“Contest”) begins on Tuesday, February 1 at 9:00:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) and endsThursday, March 31 at 11:59:59 PM (the "Contest Period"). During the Contest Period,McDonalds_MI will ask followers to submit a photo on twitter of the participant pointingout where they are in Michigan on their hand. The first 25 followers to submit a photo of their hand will receive a free pair of mittens. Each participant (the “Participant”)unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules andthe decisions of McDonald's USA, LLC (the "Sponsor"), which shall be final and bindingin all respects.

CONTEST ELIGIBILITY:
The Contest is open only to residents of Michigan who areeighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of participation and have validgovernment-issued photo identification at the time of claiming the prize. Persons in anyof the following categories are NOT eligible to participate or win prizes in the Contest:(a) any person who on or after August 1, 2010 was or is a McDonald's restaurantfranchise owner or employee or a director, officer, employee, agent, or independentcontractor of: Sponsor; any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliatedcompanies or service agencies; and any entities retained by Sponsor for theadministration of the Contest; (b) individuals who are engaged in the development,production or distribution of Contest materials or the prize supply for the Contest; and (c)persons who are immediate family members (defined as spouse, IRS dependent, or biological, adoptive or step- mother, father, sister, brother, daughter or son, and each of their respective spouses) of, or who reside in the same household as, any person in any of the preceding categories. Void outside the 50 United States, DC and where prohibited.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
The Participant will mention @McDonalds_MI in a tweetwith a Twitpic of themselves pointing to where they are on their hand (their “mitten” aka.of Michigan). The first twenty five (25) participants to submit photos will be contactedshortly after by SeyferthPR via direct message to inform the participant they have thecorrect answer and ask for the participants address.

PRIZE DETAILS /APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE
(“ARV”):
Grand Prize:
Twenty Five (25) Grand Prizes are available during the Contest Period, one (1) per participant. Each Grand Prize includes a free pair of “i’m lovin’ it” mittens. ARV of theGrand Prize is $10.00 each.Total ARV of all prizes available to be won is $250.00

WINNING:
The first twenty five (25) Participants to mention @McDonalds_MI in atweet with a Twitpic of themselves pointing to where they are on their hand (their “mitten” aka. of Michigan) will receive a free pair of “i’m lovin’ it” mittens. In the eventmore than twenty five (25) Participants submit the correct answer the terms described inSection 3, above, the Grand Prize will be awarded to the first twenty five (25)participants to submit photos. In the event any prizes have not been claimed by directmessaging @McDonalds_MI the participants address, such prizes will remain unclaimed.All prize claims will be overseen by SeyferthPR, whose decisions are final and binding inall respects. Limit: One (1) Grand Prize per person during the Contest Period.

WINNER CONFIRMATION:
All winning claims are subject to verification bySponsor, and/or the independent judging organization. Only the Sponsor’sverification process shall be conclusive and final. Grand Prizes will be sent towinners within 4-6 weeks of winner confirmation. If Sponsor so elects, a potentialprizewinner may be required to submit to a confidential background check toconfirm eligibility and help ensure that the use of any such person in advertisingor publicity for the Contest will not bring Sponsor into public disrepute, contempt,scandal or ridicule or reflect unfavorably on the Contest as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify a potentialprizewinner on the basis of the findings resulting from such background check.
2.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
By entering the Contest, each participant agrees toabide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and the independent judging organization, as applicable. All such decisions shallbe final, binding and non-appealable. Prizes are non-assignable and non-transferable. No prize substitutions or cash redemptions except as providedherein. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute any prize or portion thereof of equal or greater value if any prize or portion thereof isunavailable for any reason. Details of prizes or portions thereof not specifiedherein, if any, will be determined at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Prizewinner shall be responsible for all federal, state and/or local income taxes incurred inassociation with acceptance of the prize. By participating in the Contest, eachparticipant agrees that the Sponsor and its respective parent companies,subsidiaries, affiliated companies, Contest and advertising agencies and officialjudges (the “Contest Entities”) shall not be responsible or liable for any losses,damages or injuries of any kind, including but not limited to those related todefamation, portrayal in a false light or privacy rights, resulting from or inconnection with participation in the Contest or from acceptance, receipt,possession and/or use or misuse of a prize. This Contest is subject to allapplicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
6.
TECHNOLOGY CONDITIONS:
The Contest Entities assume no responsibility for anydamage to a Participant's computer or telephone system that is directly or indirectlycaused by participating in the Contest, or for any computer system, phone line, hardware,software or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures, dropped or delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. Except asotherwise provided in these Official Rules, information collected in connection with theContest will be used by Sponsor in accordance with its online privacy policy, located athttp://www.mcdonalds.com/privacy.html.
7. MISCELLANEOUS:

DISQUALIFICATION:
It is the Participant's responsibility to ensurecompliance in all respects with these Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right inits sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the prize claimprocesses or the operation of the Contest; acts in violation of these Official Rules;or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest, or to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

FORCE MAJEURE:
Sponsor reserves the right, without prior notice and at anytime, to terminate the Contest, in whole or in part, or modify or suspend theContest in any way, if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the Contest is
 
technically impaired or corrupted or that fraud or technical problems, failures or malfunctions have destroyed or severely undermined the integrity and/or feasibility of the Contest. In the event Sponsor is prevented from continuing withthe Contest as contemplated herein by any event beyond its control, including butnot limited to fire, flood, natural or man-made epidemic of health or other means,earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy,satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity,war (declared or undeclared) or any federal, state or local government law, order,or regulation, public health crisis, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other causenot reasonably within Sponsor's control (each a "Force Majeure" event or occurrence), then subject to any governmental approval which may be required,Sponsor shall have the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest. If theContest is terminated, in whole or in part, before the designated end date, Sponsor reserves the right to select the winners from among all eligible, non-suspectEntries received as of the date/time of the event giving rise to the termination.Only the type and quantity of prizes described in these Official Rules will beawarded. If more winners than prizes at any level, random drawing from alleligible Entries will be conducted to award advertised number of prizes. Anyprizes that are not duly claimed in accordance with these Official Rules will notbe awarded.
3.
INVALIDITY:
These Official Rules cannot be modified or amended in any wayexcept in a written document issued in accordance with law by a duly authorizedrepresentative of Sponsor. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. Inthe event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwiseunenforceable or illegal, these Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall beconstrued in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision werenot contained herein. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency betweendisclosures or other statements contained in any Contest materials and the termsand conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail, governand control.
4.
GOVERNING LAW:
All issues and questions concerning the construction,validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules or the rights andobligations of the Participant, or Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall begoverned by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the State of Illinois without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other state's laws.
5.
ARBITRATION DISCLOSURE:
By participating in this Contest in Michiganeach Participant agrees that: (1) any claim, dispute, or controversy (whether incontract, tort, or otherwise) Participant may have against the Releasees arising outof, relating to, or connected in any way with the Contest, the awarding or redemption of prizes, or the determination of the scope or applicability of thisagreement to arbitrate, will be resolved exclusively by final and bindingarbitration administered by American Arbitration Association ("
AAA
") andconducted before a sole arbitrator pursuant to the applicable Rules and Proceduresestablished by AAA (“
Rules and Procedures
”);  (2) this arbitration agreement ismade pursuant to a transaction involving interstate commerce, and shall begoverned by the Federal Arbitration Act (“
FAA
”), 9 U.S.C. §§ 1-16; (3) thearbitration shall be held at a location determined by AAA pursuant to the Rules
