Vehicle Tracking System

This prototype is implemented in the fallowing steps

1. The GPS and GSM are placed in a vehicle to be tracked.

2. Periodically signals are sent from GSM to a micro-controller.
3. The micro-controller processes the signals and generates longitude and latitude.
4. This information is sent to cell-phone and a PC for monitoring purpose.
5. The PC converts the longitude and latitude into a geographical position and sends SMS to cell-
phones of individual students the estimated time of arrival of the vehicle to the respective bus-
stops.

Four of the above steps are completed and the 5 th step will be completed in a month’s time.
