FRIENDSHIP QUILT GUILDSEPTEMBER 16, 2010 MINUTESwww.friendshipstars.com1. Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm by CeCe Petzke.2. CeCe stated the mission of the guild and welcomedeveryone back.  Also welcomed the new persons.
The August 19
meeting had 28 persons showinginterest and attended.  14 signed up for membership atthat time.  September 16
meeting we had 17  personsin attendance and 3 additional persons enrolled asmembers. Total to date of 17 charter members.
This will be our last guild meeting at Milton House.Because of scheduling and winter season Milton Housewill be closed requiring us to change location.  Weacquired the St. Peters Lutheran Church on Hwy 51(Center Ave) in Janesville as our new meeting place.The next guild meeting will be October 14
and sewday will always be the following Saturday followingguild, October 16
.  Please note the change of theSECOND THURSDAY OF THE MONTH.  Hopefullythis will not cause any inconvenience to members.5. Membership dues ($20.00 adult/$10.00 youth) are to beinto the Sec./Treas. by the end of the October guildmeeting.  Any additional new or future personswanting membership might not be in the immediate2010/2011 membership list.  Their names will need tobe placed onto the list by hand as they arrive throughout the year.6. UPCOMING EVENTS:
October 14
guild meeting will be the topic of “Aprons” by Karen Nolte with the assist of JackieBecker.   Karen Nolte asked that everyone bring anexample of the older type aprons to the Octobermeeting for show and tell.  Those of you that might
have aprons from grandma or aunt “doe” pleasebring the along for sharing.  The following Sew DayOctober 16
, we will be making that “apron in anhour”.  Still lots of time for your own projects sobring everything needed.  Check the website tomake sure you have the right amount of fabric forthis apron project.   These aprons are to be donatedto the St. Peters Church for give a way to “shut in”during the November Thanksgiving Holiday.
November we will have our collecting of gifts forchildren.  All gifts must be unwrapped and new.Toys, quilts, pillows/cases.  (especially needteenagers).  Also any and all can foods or packagedfoods would be appreciated.  This will also be ourHoliday party.  Bring a little snack to share, coffee& bottled water will be supplied.  A donated quilt byCeCe Petzke, will be up for someone to take home.Put your name in the pot to win this great quilt.$2.00 donated for single chance or $5.00 for 3chances.  Someone will go home happy!  Proceedswill be donated to the guild by CeCe Petzkec) No December meetings:  HAVE A NICE HOLIDAYWITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
January we will be having a Block of the Monthprogram.  We are looking for a chairman/leader forthis program.  It’s a lot of fun.  Who’s available – speak up!  Let CeCe or Karen know if you arewilling.e) January meeting will be two versions on “binding”.Karen Nolte and Robin Quam-Heinen will be givingdemonstrations.  Make a chore into something easyand bareable.
February meeting will be “Sew Valentine”.  Askingeveryone to bring a home sewn valentine toexchange with another meeting. (i.e. post cards,
