Elvis Aaron Presley born January 8 1935, died August 16, 1977.
American singer, actor and musician. known simply as "Elvis", and ismore often known as the "The King of Rock 'n' Roll" or just simply theThe King. Elvis Presley began his career in 1954 as one of the firstperformers of rockabilly, an up-tempo mix of country and rhythmand blues with strong back beat.
He recorded songs in the rock and roll genre, with popular trackslike, Hound Dog and Jailhouse Rock and later embodying the style.
Elvis Presley had a very versatile and had a wide range of othergenres including gospel, blues, ballads, country and pop. In the1960s, Elvis Presley made the majority of his 31 movies whichunfortunately had mainly poor reviews, but were financiallysuccessful. In 1968, he returned to live music in a television specialknown as the "68 Come back special", and performed across theU.S, notably in Las Vegas.
 
Elvis loved to buy clothes. He shopped from Lansky Brothers at Beale Streetwhich specialized 1950·s fashion styles in loud trends such as yellow suits,pink sports coats and white shoes.
Elvis loved high collars as he thought his neck was too scrawny and capeswere reminiscent of his childhood comic book hero Captain Marvel.
