Researching Writing Conventions using the InternetActivities

: In preparation for the 4
grade state writing tests, studentswill refocus on the necessity of proper writing conventions. This will helpthem produce polished compositions to be scored for OAKS. They will focuson CUPS: capitalization, usage, punctuation, and spelling. Students shouldenter this lesson with a writing composition that is at least in rough draftform.
Content Area and Grade or Age Level of Students
Students will be able to edit their writing for proper conventions.
Students will determine the difference between each of the conventionareas.
Students will be able to write a multi-paragraph composition thatcorrectly uses conventions in writing (Spelling, grammar, punctuation,capitalization)

: 30 minutes per convention computer time. 15 minute session forediting per convention, 30-45 minutes for writing polished composition.
