THE RISING COST OF UTILITIES
Like everyone else, the parish has to meet the increases in

the cost of utilities : gas, electricity, etc. One way we might
be able to do this, without asking for more money from pa-
rishioners, is to get more of you to gift aid your weekly offer-
ings. Currently, we have only 45 parishioners doing this.
There must be many more who pay tax either on their pay,

savings or pensions.

I t only needs you to complete a gift aid declaration and then use numbered weekly collection envelopes. The gift aid dec- laration doesn\u2019t tie you to contributing any specified amount \u2013 the parish can only claim on what you actually give. Cur- rently, we can claim 28 pence of the tax you have paid for every pound that you give in the collections.

I f you w ould like to know more or have any queries,
please contact Mike Tehan on Felixstow e 286 059.

There are gift aid declaration forms available in the entrance
to the church. Once we receive a completed form we will
give you a supply of the numbered envelopes.
