The Kingdom and the Chief Corner Stone

Psa.118:22-25 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
This is the LORD's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. SAVE now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now PROSPERITY. Prosperity is the Hebrew word tsalach meaning to rush, to advance, prosper, make progress, succeed, be profitable, to prosper, to make prosperous, bring to successful issue, cause to prosper, to show or experience prosperity. The kingdom brings SALVATION, which in turn brings PROSPERITY.

Jesus quoted this verse and connected it to the KINGDOM. Matthew 21:41-43
They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his VINEYARD unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. Jesus saith unto them, did ye never read in the scriptures, The STONE which the BUILDERS REJECTED, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Therefore say I unto you, The KINGDOM of GOD shall be TAKEN from YOU, and given to a NATION bringing forth the fruits thereof. Israel after the FLESH proved UNWORTHY of the KINGDOM. They REJECTED the STONE. The NATION that received the KINGDOM is the HOLY NATION, THE CHURCH. The REMNANT of Israel was saved and came into the CHURCH.

Peter also quoted this verse. 1 Peter 2:6-9

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the STONE which the builders disallowed, the same is made the HEAD of the CORNER, And a STONE of STUMBLING, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an HOLY NATION, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; The disobedient stumbled at the STONE and could not enter the KINGDOM. They could not enter SION. Sion is the place of God's rule, the kingdom. Sion is not EARTHLY, but HEAVENLY. The stone is the foundation of the new temple, the CHURCH.

Ephesians 2:19-21 (King James Version)

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an HOLY TEMPLE in the Lord: The coming of the KINGDOM meant the removal of the earthly temple, and the establishment of the spiritual temple made of living stones.
