On the frosting, arrange decorative candies in a floral pattern. Try using candy-coated Jordan almonds or these chocolate-covered sunflower seeds.
Just before serving, frost the cupcakes with a spoonful of Marshmallow Fluff, then run them under the broiler for a few seconds, just until they're golden.
Votive holders make perfect containers for bite-size cupcakes. Bake the batter inmini-muffin tins, dust the cakes with confectioners' sugar, and insert candles. Then just make a wish.
For a shortcake-like dessert, slice a cupcake into three layers, reassemble with adollop of whipped cream in between each, and top with berries.
Substitute candied citrus slices for frosting. Simmer unpeeled, seedless oranges orlemons, thinly sliced, in simple syrup (boiled sugar water) over low heat untilsoftened, about 1 hour. Cool slightly. If desired, spoon any remaining syrup overthe top.

In a style rut?
Looking to for something
Try accessorizing with
Usually the last thing we pull on andthe least likely focal point of an outfit, pants are making a comeback.
If you’re looking for an easy but cute outfit to wear around the house, try going for a pair of
dark wash jeans
paired with acrisp tee. Tuck in and wear with a skinny belt for a prim and preppy look.
Going to the beach or park? Pull on a pair of lightweight drawstring pants. Neatly fold the cuffs so they hang right above theankle. To avoid looking li
ke you’re wearing ‘mom pants’, pair with cute
cork wedges
and a feminine top.
Whether you’re going to a concert or your sister’s piano recital, pants are the classy way to go! Tuck your white oxford butt
ondown shirt into a pair of dressy pants. Wear
high waisted
, with a sash or skinny belt. Throw on a broach from mom’s jewelry box
or a vintage blazer (only a few bucks at the local thrift store) and you have a polished and timeless look.
You don’t have to be going boating to pull this attractive trend off. Survey your closet and pull out anything that is red, w
hite, black, navy blue, or striped. Pair a simple striped tee with a button-adorned blazer, or tie a cute
(another cheap thriftstore find) around your neck. The rule of thumb is when shopping for pants, find pairs that flatter your body modestly. Your confidence is your best accessory.
