Appropriate Emotional Response 2
As children grow older, their reactions to different situations change with them. Someemotions stay the same, but some may have different inappropriate reactions which are notcalled for during certain situations. The four emotions I have chosen are, happiness, sadness, pride, and guilt.HappinessHappiness is an emotion easily reached by all ages. This can be reached when tickled, receiving gifts, or having fun with friends and family. Suitable reactions of happiness arelaughter, smiles, and spontaneity. Inappropriate displays to a happy situation would be showingemotions of anger or sadness.SadnessA trait that all experience is sadness; which can be reached by getting hurt, someonesaying hurtful things to you or about you, or getting a bad grade on a test or assignment. Suitablereactions of sadness would be a sad expression, crying, pouting, being quiet, or a possiblewithdraws from circumstances. Inappropriate displays would be anger or happiness, dependingon how serious the situation is that is causing the sadness.PrideAnother emotion is pride; the feeling of accomplishment. This can be achieved by beingpraised for something good that you have done and accomplished by yourself; doing good on atest, completing a chore, or scoring points during a sports event. Suitable reactions of pride
