Reverend Sean E. Weaver is a church planter and the lead pastor of True DESTINY Christian ChurchInternational, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. True DESTINY began as a house ministry in Decemberof 2006. After moving to a community club house, and later to an area “schoolhouse”, True DESTINYlaunched its public ministry September 28, 2008.Pastor Sean accepted his call to ministry in 1996 while serving under the spiritual leadership of Bishop T.Garrott Benjamin, Jr. at Light of the World Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). In 2005, Rev. Weaverreceived a Masters of Divinity degree from Christian Theological Seminary, in Indianapolis, Indiana andwas ordained into Christian ministry.Called to preach the liberating gospel that sets the captive free, Pastor Sean has a special anointingthat empowers others to reach their divine purpose. Pastor Sean also has a heart for helping youthto realize their full potential. Out of this shared passion, he and his wife, Kimberly, founded theCompass Leadership Academy to equip adolescent boys and girls with the life skills needed to successfullynavigate adolescence.Pastor Sean is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and a graduate of Clark-Atlanta University in Atlanta,Georgia where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration (1990). He has over 14 yearsof successful sales and marketing experience having worked as an Account Executive for Kraft GeneralFoods, Abbott Laboratories, and SBC/Ameritech.Pastor Sean and Kim have enjoyed 16 years of marriage. Together, they have four young children: 13 year oldson, Joshua; 11 year old twin daughters: Jordyn and Jessica; and 7 year old son, Jonathan.
