Ouch! The first of several terrible puns! These drinks, on the other hand, are anythingbut terrible. Serve the first three to the little ghosts and goblins running around your Halloween party; give the rest to the weary parents!
Witch’s Brew Punch
Guests will go for this spicy blend of fruit juice and cider.Ingredients1/4 C. sugar1 12 oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate1 6 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate6 C. water4 C. apple cider8 whole cloves4 whole allspice2 cinnamon sticksOrange sherbetDirectionsCombine all ingredients except sherbet in 5-quart saucepan; mix well. Cook overmedium-high heat until mixture comes to a boil (15-20 minutes). Reduce heat to low;cook 10 minutes. Remove from heat; remove spices. Cool 30 minutes at roomtemperature. Cover; refrigerate until chilled (2-4 hours). At serving time, pour intoserving bowl; float scoops of sherbet in punch.Variation: This punch may also be served hot. Follow recipe above adding 2 Tbs. Land OLakes Butter. Pour into heat-proof pitcher. Garnish with lemon slices, if desired.Yield: 12 (1 C.) servings
