MIDNIGHT SHIFT ACTIVITY
The midnight shift had 5 criminal misdemeanor arrests, 2 traffic misdemeanor arrests withfingerprints (DUI), 5 other traffic misdemeanor arrests, 1 warrant arrest, 26 state traffic citations,6 compliance citations, 98 traffic stop cards, 73 parking citations, and 3 safety security notices.The Midnight shift also completed 26 Investigative Case File Reports to include:
a report of a domestic disturbance was investigated where several family members werevocal and disruptive but not physical in their argument. Information on domestic violencewas given to them and they separated for the night;
a death investigation at 4 W. Burlington. The medicalexaminer determined death to be natural causes. While onscene investigating a death, officers were aware of a veryheavy odor of cannabis inside the apartment. As theinvestigation continued, Ofc Gill (pictured at right) located aroom which was used to grow cannabis and discovered 5cannabis plants in a closet with lights, fans, and plant food.The plants were confiscated and will be destroyed.
Ofc. Rogers completed a report on a missing juvenile whoreturned later the next day.Arrests on the Midnight Shift included:
Ofc. Rogers arrested two subjects while investigating a report of a suspicious occupiedvehicle. Brandon Weeks was arrested for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
Heather Arnold was arrested for possession of cannabis.
Jose Gamez was arrested by Ofc. Gill and Ofc. Moncivais for an outstanding warrant.
Ofc. Gill arrested Matthew Fiala for possession of cannabis
Ofc. MacDougall arrested Dwayne Sanchez for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Ofc. Gill was monitoring the Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network (ISPERN) andlocated an offending vehicle fleeing from a hit and run accident in Riverside.
Ofc. MacDougall arrested Antoine Morgan for driving with a suspended license.
Ofc. Gill arrested Donnell Cowley for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Ofc. Gill arrested Vonsha Shack for no driver’s license.
Ofc. Gill arrested Jazmine Sanchez for driving with a suspended license.
Squad Leader Rohlicek arrested Lester Walker for driving with a suspended driver’s license.
Squad Leader Rohilcek arrested Gerald Kulikowski for driving with a suspended driver’slicense.
Ofc. Moncivais arrested Justyna Lamek for driving without a license.Other miscellaneous activity on the Midnight Shift included:
a response to a large fight in Countryside and assisting them with regaining order.
La Grange Memorial Hospital had patients in the emergency room from other jurisdictionsbecome disruptive and requested police assistance.
a resident reported hearing someone in her kitchen during the night, units responded to findthe husband had come home as his business flight was canceled due to weather. The familythanked the police for the quick response.
working through the snow storm using 4-wheel drive vehicles to be able to respond toemergency calls for service.
