Article 11 (p. 7) Compensation*
Section 11.1; One (1) year contract. Wage increase of 0%
Section 11.2: No change to longevity schedule amounts.
Article 14 (pp. 8-10) Health Insurance"
Section 14.1: Employees to pay 15% of the cost of health and dental insurance.
The Library shall extend the health and dental benefits made available to
Spouses and dependent children of bargaining unit employees to qualified same
sex domestic partners of bargaining unit employees.
‘The Library shall use both the criteria for domestic partnership set forth in the
Declaration of Domestic Partnership and the definition of eligible dependents of
the domestic partnership that are established and modified by the Town of
Irondequoit to determine qualified same sex domestic partner status. To be a
qualified same sex domestic partner of a bargaining unit employee, the
bargaining unit employee and the same sex domestic partner must file a
Declaration of Domestic Partnership with the Irondequoit Town Clerk containing
statements in a form provided by the Town which: (a) has not been terminated or
revoked in any manner by either the same sex domestic partner or the
bargaining unit employee; and (b) with which the same sex domestic partner and
the bargaining unit employee are and continue to be in compliance.
Section 14.7: Health insurance buyout increased to $1,500.
Article 17 (p.11) Personal Leave
‘Add one (1) personal day to bring the total of personal days to five (5).
Article 19 (p. 12) Death in Family
New language to read as follows:
‘A maximum of five (5) workdays off will be granted due to a death of an
employee's spouse or qualified same sex domestic partner or members of the
‘employee's immediate family. Immediate family is defined as: natural, foster or
step parent, child, step-child, sibling, grandparent of the employee, grandchild,
father-in-law, mother-in-law or any relative residing in the employee's householdUpon the death of an employee's other close relative or in-law up to two (2)
workdays off with pay may be granted by the Library Director, or designee
(requests will not be unreasonably denied).
5. Update all relevant dates in the CBA.
6. Create a table of contents for the CBA.
7. This Memorandum of Understanding shall be subject to ratification by both
parties per the parties’ ground rules and such legislative approvals as may be
Recessary.
