An enthusiastic grouphas assembled to bringthis Student SuccessAgenda to fruition.Heading up the FirstYear Experience is KarenWarren (English), HopeJukl (Math) and ColetteMcLaughlin (CTE).Leah Halper and RobinKreider are nowcontinuing their workwith Service Learningengaging learningexperiences to sustaintheir interest once theyare enrolled in courses.In addition to moreinteractive activities,students will have moreaccess to technology withthe opening of a StudentSuccess Center and small
open labs across campus.Software such as anearly alert system andDegree Works will serveto track students andkeep them on track - andencourage them to bemore active participantsin their own progresstoward their goals.
under the auspices of Title V.Debbie Amaro is incharge of finding andintegrating simulationsinto the Nursingcurriculum.Sabrina Lawrence andNicole Cisneros bring theirtech savvy to the table togive insight intoincorporating moretechnology into thecurriculum as well asstarting a center for facultydevelopment.Sarah Aranyakul isproposing early alert andorientation modifications.Last, Michelle Foguet-Mendoza is serving asStudent Successcoordinator and is startinga Student Success Center.The Title V team hasbeen meeting two to threetimes a month to sharetheir research findings anddiscuss their ideas.
