am Stenzel
will be the speaker for the 10th AnnualSpring Fundraising Banquet on April 14th, 2011. Pam is adynamic, charismatic, and educated expert on sex, love andrelationships. She understands the perils that young peopleface as they make adult choices, and is dedicated to
reviving the character and integrity of today’s youth.Pam tackles today’s tough issues of sex with candor, insight, humor, and
the challenge for young people to get the abstinence advantage. She hastraveled worldwide, speaking in person to over 500,000 young people eachyear about issues of sexuality and the importance of abstinence. Hervideos are viewed by millions worldwide. Pam also holds seminars withparents and educators regarding issues of teen sex and how vital character
building is in a child’s upbringing.
When Pam started counseling in pregnancy centers more than 20 years
ago, she heard one thing time and time again: “I didn’t know. If somebody
would have told me this would happen to me, I would have made a
different choice.” After nine years of listening and learning from young
women and men facing unplanned pregnancies, positive STD results andheartache from broken relationships, Pam knew thatsomeone needed to start telling the truth about the
consequences when sex isn’t right.
In her most recent book, “Nobody Told Me”, released last
month, Pam talks about the consequences-both physical andemotional-
of sex outside of marriage. It’s been herexperience that, if given the facts, today’s young people are
fully capable of making good, healthy decisions. Pam will also be speakingto students at Beloit Sr. High School and Concordia Jr. and Sr. HighSchool the following morning. For more information on Pam, visit herwebsite at www.pamstenzel.com.Make plans NOW to attend the banquet which will be heldat Beloit Municipal Building, beginning at 7 pm on April 14and invite your friends and neighbors to come along withyou. Chelsea and Dorothy with precious twins Mya (left)and Mason (right) on a recent visit to the Center
hen Chelsea Wallace began to suspect she could be pregnantafter her first semester in college, she wondered how she could have
let that happen. “All I could think of was that I should have beensmarter”, she says. Although she tried hard to avoid facing thereality of a baby on the way, she found herself wondering “What am I
going to do?” There was no easy answer.“When I told the father that I was pregnant, he told me I had toget an abortion. Even though I didn’t believe in abortion, I considered it, just because I didn’t know whatelse to do.” Chelsea found herself alone, with no emotional or financial support from the father, and
afraid to tell her parents she was pregnant because she thought they would be disappointed and angry
with her. “It seemed that every time I went to church, my pastor, Dennis Finch, would mention something
in his sermon about single mothers and how they should choose life instead of abortion for their babies,
even though it might not be easy.“A relative told her mother she was pregnant and her parents allowed her to move back home. “A little
while later I experienced some bleeding and the doctor ordered an ultrasound. It was then we realizedthere was not one baby
but TWO.This news added to Chelsea’s confusion. “I wondered about adop-tion, but did not know who to contact. Then my pastor’s wife told me about HEART CHOICES. ““When I came to HEART CHOICES,” Chelsea continued, “I hoped to find someone who was unbiased and
non-judgmental who would just listen to me and give me information to help me in making my decision.
That’s exactly what I found. Dorothy listened to me, giving me information on adoption and helping me to
understand what challenges I might be facing as a single mother. As I explored all the options, I decided
that I should parent my two babies.”

were born on November 24, 2010. “I’m sothankful for my two blessings. My parents have been a great help and support “,says Chelsea, “I couldn’t do it without them. I’m also very thankful for HEARTCHOICES and for all they have done to help me. I know I’ve got a hard road ahead, but with God’s help, I know I can do it. “
