- Created in the image of God and equally endowed with natural souls and the same origin. Redeemed by the blood of Christ, we are all called to participate in the Divine beautitude with equal dignity. -The equality of all rests essentially on their dignity as persons and the rights that flow from it. - The differences among persons belong to God’s plan, who wills that we should need one another. These differences should encourage charity. Women and the Bible Throughout the centuries the Bible has been used to justify the discrimination against women, yet women not men were the most constant believers in the Bible and God’s Word.
- It is worth to note that the Bible was written in a
patriarchal society and so in the male perspective and context. Their was a subordination of women. -The concept of God is a patriarchal God and so men domination over women is pronounced. - Despite of this, there were women who stood out in the the Bible. Deborah, Ruth, Esther, Judith, Delilah, Tamar and of course Mary.
