This viewis called The Conspiratorial View of History,and it is definitely not the view held by the ma- jority of historians today. The more traditionalview is called The Accidental View of History,and it holds that no one really knows why eventshappen - - they just do.It is the hope of the author that those who readthis book will discover that the ConspiratorialView of History is the one best supported by theevidence.
