Detectives from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, the Town of Shandaken Police Department
and the Ulster Regional Gang Entorcemont Narvoties Team (URGENT) report the arrest of
Craig D Rose, 30, Homeless of the Arkville, NY area.
Town of Shandaken Police and Ulster County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a home
invasion at 8776 Route 28 in the Town of Shandaken, hamlet of Big Indian at $:$8am on March
19,201). Two male intruders wearing ski masks, one wearing a flack jacket, and Rose armed
with a 22 rifle, forced their way imo the zesidence and demanded money from the occupants, A
struggle ensued and Rose dischanged the rifle ot least (wo times within the residence. The
Victims were able to disarm and overtake Rose and the second party and cali 911. In the fight
thatensued while Rose was attempting to escape Rose and other party sustained serious injuries
and were both transported to Kingstoa Hospital by Shendaken Ambulance, where Rose was
admitted. The second party wes transferred to Albany Medical Center. Rose was arraigned at
Kingston Hospital ty Hon. Ball from Kingston City Court and was transferred to the custody of
the Ulster County Sneriff Corrections Division in lieu of $50,000 casi/$ 100,000 bond to appear
in the Town of Shandaken Court at a later date, The investigation is continuing end additional
arrests are expected The name of the secund party is being withheld as the investigation is
continuing.
