Story #1:

Veda and I lived in the same dorm building during our freshman year. This is how we got
to know each other so much better. One characteristic that I admire about Veda is her
devotion to her studies and her other hobbies that she is passionate about; she is so
determined to do her best at all times and never fails to complete all of the tasks that she
wishes to complete. During that whole year I would see if she has some free time to catch
up; she would always be at the library finishing assignments, studying just because she
wants to, or participating in student-run events with an organization that she is a part of.
She is always on top of her game!

Story #2:

Another characteristic that I admire is a very common one that runs among all friends:
trustworthiness. I can frankly say that Veda is a friend that I trust with all my heart. I had
been going through a very personal crisis at the beginning of this recent school year, and
Veda was one of the very few people that I confidently depended on. She was very
supportive, kind, and caring of my situation and always allowed me to keep hope in times
of depression. She did not judge nor did she stand against me; she listened to what I had
to say with an open mind and helped me all she could without giving even the smallest
hint that she was indifferent towards my feelings.

Story #3:

One last characteristic that I can point out (out of many, many great others) is her
maturity. This may be seen as an amalgamation of the first two aspects that I talked
about, but looking back on my experience as being a close friend of hers, I see this one as
a distinct trait that should be revered just as much as any other trait. I do not wish to
disclose any more personal information, but from the many talks that we have had
together, I was able to see her more personal side as well. My journey that led to one of
the closest friendships with Veda was a long one, and well worth experiencing. I was
even surprised to see that she felt a certain way about specific topics that we talked about;
she approached everything in a very composed and open manner. As I would watch her
talk about her opinions, I would think to myself, “wow, I would have never thought of
that on my own!” The things that she would bring up, and the way in which she would
talk about them were very compelling and even comforting in a way that I was then able
to truly believe that I have made a very tight knit relationship with a person like Veda.

Veda, as I have told you many many times, I am so glad that we were able to talk more
this semester. I am so excited to see where our friendship takes us! I’m so happy to have
met a person like you, and without you, I DO NOT KNOW HOW I would have survived
this semester. Thank you so much for everything, you are seriously the best!!
