The Transformative Power

of Full Transparency
Ensuring a Sustainable Supply Chain
Tuesday 29th March 2011 @ InterfaceFLOR Showroom
1 Northburg Street, London EC1V 0AL
4.00 - 6.00pm – followed by drinks
(Registration and refreshments from 3.30pm)

The marketing world has woken up to sustainability and the result is a blizzard of claims for
products from cars to carpets: ‘carbon neutral’, ‘recyclable’, ‘natural’, ‘fair-trade’, ‘organic’,
‘environment friendly’, etc. They all sound equally good but are they?
Sustainability is too complex to be explained by a single product benefit or green label.

Join us for this small and targeted session to understand how Environmental Product
Declarations (EPD) will revolutionise sustainability.
A sustainable supply chain means making decisions based on facts (Just the Facts) rather
than ticking boxes in a thousand question supply chain questionnaire. The next generation of
sustainability will be about asking your suppliers to ‘Cut the Fluff’ and give you the EPD. That in
turn will create a strong competition in innovation and a radical rethinking of the way we all operate.
Join us to:
•U nderstand the new trends in sustainability: Get to grips with the
latest thinking on the shift from corporate sustainability to product
sustainability why it’s important and what it means for you.
•B
e inspired by leading practice: Learn from the insights and
experiences the construction sector’s transition to EPDs.
•P
repare for next stage: An opportunity for discussion, sharing questions
and ideas with other senior level peers about how we take the next step.
