Innovate CRNC Stands With Efforts to Unite
TNCR, Calls for Chair’s Resignation
In light of compelling evidence of documented corruption which corroborates recent
reports of issues and allegations within the Tennessee College Republicans, Innovate
CRNC has announced that Chairman Tres Wittum will no longer be part of Innovate’s
Campaign Committee, nor will they be publicly accepting his endorsement. Innovate
has learned that Mr. Wittum has signaled he will only recognize two chapters in
upcoming state elections, which is unacceptable for a state with over a dozen official
chapters.

“We believe that the purpose of state federations is to serve as a voice for all College
Republican chapters in the state, and our campaign will not support a chairman who
does not believe that,” said Innovate’s candidate for CRNC Chair Jonathon Snyder.
“Having a productive and successful, let alone united, state federation of College
Republicans in Tennessee is more important to me than having a person or state's
public support ever will be,” Snyder continued, pledging to support efforts by Unite
TNCR.

Unite TNCR is the slate formed to challenge Mr. Wittum during Tennessee’s upcoming
elections. While Mr. Wittum’s disqualification of chapters may be constitutionally
acceptable under Tennessee’s charter, Innovate CRNC believes that it goes against the
spirit and principles College Republicans organize under.

Innovate’s candidate for national Co-Chair John Kleinhans added, “Should Unite TNCR
need to form a new federation and re-charter to adequately represent Tennessee’s
College Republicans, our coalition stands ready to support them. We are prepared to
publicly back their efforts and work with Chairman Zach Howell to get a representative
federation recognized. Simply put, keeping a state federation strong and united is far
more important than delegates in the upcoming national race.”
The Innovate CRNC team has contacted Mr. Wittum and requested his immediate
resignation and election of a new Chairman and Co-Chairman, and stands ready to
recognize this new leadership.
