About the Program

Malpractice
With the aging population of
the United States, the need
and frequency for prescription
medicine grows every day. It is
not uncommon to find individuals
who take multiple prescription
medications. As the number of
prescriptions increases so does the
chance the prescription will be filled
incorrectly.

This program will allow attorneys

to know what to look for in a
negligence case against a
pharmacist or pharmacy. What
special rules apply to these cases
that makes them different from a
typical negligence case? What
statutes do the practitioner need
to be aware of to make sure the
case is handled correctly, and that
takes into account recent federal
legislation impacting these types of
cases?

We will explore the basics of

handling a negligence case against
a pharmacy and talk about issues
such as damages, experts, and
discovery. We will also examine
what areas of a pharmacy
negligence case resonate with
jurors, and how to position your
case to take into account these
perceptions.
