TheliveAIDSvirushasbeenfoundinblood,semen,serum,saliva,urineandtears.Inaddition,theAIDSviruscansurviveoutsidethebodyandremaininfectiousforupto15days!Thevirusisresistantatroomtemperatureeitherindryformorliquidmedium.ThismayexplaintheappearanceofsomecasesofAIDSinnon-riskgroups.WhatthismeansisthatwhenanAIDSviruscarriercoughsorsneezesinfectedsecretionsintoapunchbowlorsaladbar,theAIDSviruscouldremaininfectiousforquitesometime.Yet,theNewHampshireBoardofEduca-tionnotonlyapprovesallowingcaf-eteriaworkerswithAIDStoremainattheirjobs,

Obviously,parentsaregoingtohavetoknowmorethanschoolofficialsiftheirchildrenaretosur-vivethegrowingAIDSplague.TheworstthingparentscandoisentrustthesafetyoftheirchildrentoignorantpublicofficialswhoseemmuchmoreconcernedwiththecivilrightsofAIDSvictimsthanthehealthandwellbeingofthechildrenundertheircare.

1.TheAIDSvirusisalentivirus,hithertoidentifiedonlywithdeadlyanimaldiseases.
It

HowFastIsAIDSSpreading?
TheCentersforDiseaseControl(CDC)inAtlantapublishesaMortalityandMorbidityWeeklyReport(MMWR)withdiseasestatistics.ButtheAIDSsta-tisticsarequitemisleading,foronlypersonswithfull-blownAIDSarere-ported.ThefirststageofAIDSinfec-tion(pre-AIDS)issymptomless.YetindividualsinthisfirststagearejustascapableofspreadingAIDSaspatientswiththefull-blownsyndrome.Thesecondstage(AIDSrelatedcomplex-ARC)hasover50clinicalmanifestations,includingencephalo-pathy(braindisease)whichisfatal.YetpersonswhodieofsecondstagemanifestationsarenotincludedinAIDSstatistics.ThenumberoffirstandsecondstageAIDSvictims,however,isconservativelyestimatedtobetentimesthenumberoffull-blownAIDScases.Dr.JamesCurranoftheCDChassaid:
