ADJECTIVES

( Adjectives are describing words. They give us additional information


about a noun or pronoun )

TYPES OF ADJECTIVES
1. Descriptive adjectives describe a person or thing.
e.g. Sarah is an attractive girl.

2. Demonstrative adjectives refer to a person or thing.


e.g. This pencil belongs to me.

3. Interrogative adjectives are used to ask questions.


e.g. where are the dirty dishes?

4. Quantitative adjectives show the amount of something.


e.g. My mother received some roses for her birthday.

5. Adjectives of comparison compare things or people. There are three


degrees of comparison:Positive, comparative, superlative.
