Everyone remembers the season-opening game when the Crosses crushed the Stripers, 91-

When Natalie said she wasn’t going to

play, Ally said, “Oh no.” It was the live
game opener for the Bengals against the

“Oh no.” scary All-Star combination of Micaiah,

Darren, and Naomi. However, Naomi
bowed out, so it was Ally, Josh, and
Nathanael vs. Micaiah and Darren. Oh no
indeed. Micaiah quickly threw to Darren,
7-0. After another touchdown, Nathanael
fumbled the ball on the kickoff and
Micaiah ran it in for another touchdown as
the first quarter ended, 21-0. In the
second quarter, Joshua faked out Darren
and ran for a 60 yard touchdown, the only
score for the Bengals. The All-Stars
continued to score, but the Fongs and
Wong had to leave in the middle of the
third quarter, so the game ended 42-7.

 I’m on the Richmond Sonics, coached by
Micaiah Fong, the Bay Area Stripers
coached by Steven Chen, and I coach the
Albany Bengals with Natalie Hamada.
When I played my first game of football
Sept. 27, 2009, it was me and Nathanael
Fong against Naomi Hamada and Micaiah
Fong. Natalie was the referee. Now at
first, me and Nathanael were kind of
unsure about playing against Naomi and
Micaiah, because they were too good.
Micaiah is very athletic and Naomi was
good at catching, so we were nervous,
and…we lost. Yes, we were very
unconfident and well Nathanael and I
weren’t as good athletes as Micaiah and
Naomi. I think we really need to work on
football, because we kept missing catches
and not really blocking. For some reason
we knew we were going to lose so we
didn’t really care, kind of. We were really
disappointed, but I think if we keep
practicing, we’ll get better…hopefully.
The next game was Oct. 4, 2009 was
Micaiah, Josh and me against Nathanael,
Naomi, and Darren(who substituted for
Steven who wasn’t there). Natalie was,
again, the referee. I felt a little more
confident because Micaiah was there and
he was one of the best players in the Stuff
Animal league. We played the game and it
was almost the end of the game and it was
tied. Then our team made the touch down.
I was very happy, now that one of the
teams I was on finally won, but I felt bad
for the other team because Nathanael
hadn’t won a game yet so I felt bad for
him.
Today on Oct. 11, 2009, it was supposed
to be Natalie, Josh and me against Naomi,

Well when I lose, sometimes I get so
emotional, like I feel angry. I need to learn
that it’s just a game and I need to have
fun, but sometimes I find it difficult to say
“Nice try” to the other team because they
had just scored a point. I think that I care
too much about winning, but I really want
to win a lot because for some reason
winning makes people happy, and it is
very hard to block the big and strong
people like Micaiah, and the fast people
like Darren. When ever I play against I
have to be tough, because if I’m not, the
other team will get past. So now I have to
be kinda tough even though it’s kinda
hard. I’m not really a tough person. Well
actually I used to wrestle against boys, and
I would always win because…oh you
don’t wanna know. Anyways, I figured
out that I cared so much about winning, I
haven’t asked God for help. He’s the
