There are three tools to assist you, the Beneficiary: WebEnrollment portal (BWE), Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC)andHealth Net (the Managed Care Support Contractor that administersthe health care contract for the North).The BWE website allows beneficiaries to review personal, healthcare, and personnel information from one reliable source, theDefense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS).Currently, sponsors, spouses, and eligible beneficiaries, whoare over 18 years old, are able to perform the followingfunctions: update contact information in DEERS instantly, viewcurrent health care eligibility, manage TRICARE enrollments,locate the nearest Military ID card issuing facility, viewpersonnel information, transfer Montgomery GI Bill benefits toeligible family members, update Civilian Employment Information(for Guard and Reserve members - excluding Army Reserve, Navy,and Coast Guard), view Service members' Group Life Insuranceinformation (except Marines and Coast Guard), obtain proof ofinsurance if currently in a TRICARE managed program, findanswers to frequently asked questions about health careeligibility and more.https://www.hnfs.net/bene/enrollment/Beneficiary+Web+Enrollment.htm

A2. It is very important to keep your DEERS information up-to-date to ensure uninterrupted health care coverage. ContactDEERS at 1-800-538-9552 to update your DEERS information withyour new address. If you would like to continue Primeenrollment you may visit a TRICARE Service Center (TSC), contactthe Regional contractor for information on possible onlineenrollment options or complete a TRICARE Prime Enrollment andPCM Change form and mail your enrollment application to theRegional contractor at the new region.Visit the following website for more information:http://tricare.mil/mybenefit/home/overview/Plans/LearnAboutPlansAndCosts/TRICAREPrime

What is the latest information on the program to continuecoverage for my 24 year old dependent child?

A3. TRICARE Young Adult (TYA) is the program in alignment withthe Federal Healthcare Reform act to ensure insurance coveragefor eligible beneficiaries up to the age of 26. This programhas up to 700,000 potential eligible individuals and TRICAREexpects approximately 250,000 new beneficiaries. This programoffers excellent coverage at a competitive price whilerespecting the Department of Defense healthcare fiscalconstraints..The Premium-based TRICARE Standard coverage will be available inSpring 2011. The program will be offered to eligible dependentswho are unmarried and age out of TRICARE at age 21 (age 23 if afull-time college student and dependent on sponsor for more than50% of financial support), and not eligible for their
own
 employer-sponsored coverage. TRICARE Standard/Extra healthcoverage will be on a month-to-month basis. Retroactive coverageto January 1, 2011 is available provided premiums are paid backto January 1.TRICARE Prime benefit is anticipated later in 2011 and will havea separate premium. At this time actual premium costs have notbeen established. Check the TRICARE website for the latestinformation (www.tricare.mil).
