HOW DID YOU GO ABOUT IDENTIFYING THIS
PROBLEM?

 Home visits
 Counseling sessions
 Through referrals via police
 Assessments
 In this instances women were able to be open
about the abuse they encountered ,they are
depended on their partners for livelihoods.it
therefore came to my attention that poor
women are more vulnerable to violence
hence the call for empowerment of women.

 Women, victims of violence they experience it
in most forms e.g physical, mental and lack of

because they are few men who are against the
inhuman act imposed on women therefore it is
important that men are empowered with
education on GBV

LESSONS LEARNED

 Training the group was difficult, as


translation was often needed, speak their

indigeneous language versus official

 To achieve group coercion is a challenge,


because of different cultural background
 Continued close monitoring is needed to
ensure sustainability
