Newsletter March 2011 - God Loves Kids -www.GodLovesKids.com
I looked at the faces of those whohave seen atrocities that I have ahard time even imagining, thosewho have lost friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, siblings and parents to war anddisease.
I looked at children whose clothes areworn and threadbare and whose shoes hadseen better days (if they even had shoes at all).
And I saw that regardless of their currentconditions or circumstances, they wereworshiping the Father with pure adoration. Theydidn't let the hardships of this life steal away thejoy and the hope of what Christ's sacrificebrings us.
How this must touch the Father'sheart to find true worshipers!
Now that I am home
Now that I am home, I am faced with thequestion of what the Lord would have me dowith all that I have experienced and seen.
Yousee, for me this wasn't just something to checkoff of my "bucket list," or even a trip that I willsimply look back on with fond memories.Sometimes, the Lord gives you a very preciousgift of being passionate about something forwhich devoting your life to is worth.
I want toencourage all of you, who are supporters of GodLoves Kid, that what you do matters!
You reallyand truly make a difference in these children'slives!
As we were visiting a school in Uganda, some children from the community, who werenot fortunate enough to attend school, came upto see what was going on. I believe they werethe poorest children I have ever laid my eyeson.
Their clothes were literally rags and thesmallest one of the group had flies all over herface.
We gave them some small toys that wehad and some candy. They acted as if theydidn't even know what to do with the candy. When we motioned for them that they could eatit, they stuck it in their mouths wrappers and all.
Please know that when you give of yourself andyou sponsor a child, you are giving them hopefor a brighter future and a chance to possiblyescape poverty. Most importantly, you aregiving them the hope that you only get throughknowing Jesus, and this hope will last forgenerations to come.
