4. To the disciples…to us.
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earthhas been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
(Matthew 28:18–20 ESV)
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to thewhole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons;they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands;and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
(Mark 16:15–18 ESV)
He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my
witnesses in Jerusalemand in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
(Acts 1:7–8 ESV)B. Our mission is to whom?
1. Jerusalem: The people you choose to live with.
2. Judea: The people you choose to visit.
3. Samaria: The people you choose to avoid.
4. Ends of the Earth: The people everywhere else.
II. MINISTER ON A MISSION
A. Every follower of Jesus is a minister on a mission.
Your mission begins when you receive His Spirit.
