Marketing materials:
You can insert a QR Code in virtually any piece of marketing. The trick isto offer an incentive to scan: free download, limited-time product discount, exclusive offer,etc.

Direct people to a ‘secret’ site
where visitors can find such things as streaming video of theshow, a virtual tradeshow website, special offers, photos, and more. Make sure your site isoptimized for viewing on a smartphone, though.

– link a booth map or other pertinent information

could each have their own QR Code and unique landing pagewith information specific to that product.

Pre-show marketing –
send out mailers with a QR Code. Once scanned the URL directs thevisitor to a landing page where they enter personal interests and information, create theirown individual QR Code which they then bring back to the booth. A staff member then scansthe code and the visitor is directed to a specific individual for a special demo or other personalattention.

Encourage networking.
Event organizers can put together a program where the attendees areencouraged to scan all the QR Codes in site. The people who rack up the most scans takehome some cool swag.

As a speaker, put a large QR Code on your last slide
and encourage people to sign up for yournewsletter, download the presentation or grab other freebies.

Hand out QR Codes to attendees and tell them that one other person at the networking event has an identical QR Code.
Their job is to find their match.

Offer other downloads such as brochures or longer-form items instead of handing out papers.
