RUBRIC:
Pieces of Personality: Non-Objective Sculptures

Objectives Design Studio Skills Presentatio
You built a thoughtfullyconsidered non-objectivesculpture with surfacetreatment, all based onyour personality trait / thepersonality traits of allgroup members. You used the element ofform to represent yourpersonality trait. Forms aresturdy and free-standing.You shared responsibility (ifworking in a group) for allaspects of the project, followed directions, andcompleted all parts. The structural design ofyour form and the surfacetreatment of your form areoriginal designs (no pre-existing symbols!)Your surface treatmentconsists of at least threecolors, and was thoughtfullyand carefully designed andexecuted to represent yourpersonality trait.Your form explores 3-dimensional space, considers how it interactswith the ground, and how itlooks from all sides.Your sculpture is well-constructed: it is free-standing, sturdy, and allpieces have been securelyattached. You used your timeproductively, appropriately, and safely during everyclass. You took care of the artmaterials and voluntarilyassisted in clean-up on adaily basis.Paint (or other surfacetreatment) has been evenlyand carefully applied.Your final sculpture showsevidence of quality, time, thought, and care. There are no visible gapsbetween edges.Paper tape was properlyand carefully used to coverall cardboard joins. All paper tape was carefullyflattened / smoothed.Paint and glue have beenthoughtfully and carefullyapplied.
