What?The Debtor Assistance Project ("DAP") is a clinic, located at theU.S. Courthouses in Maryland, which provides debtors with anopportunity to meet with a bankruptcy attorney for a cost-free half-hourconsultation. The DAP is designed to help individuals without an attorneyto answer legal questions about bankruptcy, including how bankruptcymay be used to help prevent foreclosure. The DAP cannot provide anattorney to complete your paperwork for you or represent you. If you needrepresentation services after your half-hour consultation, you can findinformation on finding an attorney (sometimes at low to no cost) on theCourt’s website or in the DAP waiting room.For more information on the DAP and its policies, please review theDAPDebtor Notice, which is available to debtors when they arrive for their DAPappointmentsWhere?The Baltimore and Greenbelt Federal Courthousesand the Mid-Shore Pro Bono Project in Easton:Baltimore - 101 W.
