The Runaround

She was beautiful.

In my dreams she kissed me
And she ran away with me
We ran and swam together
In the fields, in the sea

She was beautiful as a rose

With legs long and slender
Her lips were light and soft
Filled with passion, and tender

She was beautiful.

In my arms she said my name
And Cupid's faithful aim
Pierced my heart

When she said my name.

When I hear her voice I wake up

To find it always ends the same
She was married to another
And I didn't know her name
