Quilted Camera Strap Cover
This tutorial makes a quilted cover for a strap that is 1 inch wide by 23 inches long
Fabric scrapsScrap batting approximately 5 x 29 inchesScrap muslin approximately 6 x 30 inchesBasting pins or sprayThreadWalking foot
Cut your scraps 3 ¾ inches wide. They may be of various lengths. You will need enough scrappieces to make a 25 ½ inch long strip, when sewed together.
Sew your scraps into a narrow strip and press seams open.3.
Layer a piece of muslin on the bottom, batting in the middle, and the strip you have just made ontop, with the right side facing up. Baste the sandwich together with spray or basting pins.
4. Put a walking foot on your machine, and quilt the layers together. I used a straight line at ¼inch intervals down the length of the strip.5.
Using a ruler and rotary blade, trim the excess batting and muslin. Your strip should measure3 ¾ by 25 ½.6.
Turn under the short edges of your strip by ¼ inch. Turn them again about ½ inch or enoughthat the strip will measure 23 ¼ inches long. Sew the edges. I used two rows of stitchesabout 1/8 inch apart.
