Call for Publication

In 2010 the British government decided to cut funding for university Arts, Humanities
and Social Science departments, thereby endangering spaces for critical social thought.
Thriving on the Edge of Cuts will provide an interdisciplinary platform for up and coming
researchers in the field of gender studies. We are welcoming papers from all disciplines
that are in broad conversation with the theme of university funding cuts and that present a
strong concern with gender. Delegates presenting a paper are encouraged to submit their
work for publication in a special edition of the Graduate Journal of Social Sciences
(GJSS), an interdisciplinary journal for postgraduate students and early career academics
(for more details please see http://www.gjss.org).

Deadline for Submission

The deadline for submitting papers for review is Thursday, 7th July 2011. Successful
papers will be published in October 2011. For guidelines on formatting, referencing and
general style requirements please see:

Authors should also note that the GJSS uses the Chicago Manual of Style:

The paper can be the same length as the conference paper.
